World’s Highest Hotel
LOFT are delighted to announce that, after a three year absence from our fair shores, the Ritz Carlton has reopened at its new home atop the International Commerce Centre in West Kowloon – which, at 490-metres tall, makes it the world’s highest hotel.
The five-star hotel is the brand’s 16th property in Asia, occupying the floors between the 102nd and 118th floor of the International Commercial Centre. The 312 guest rooms each show off fantastic city and harbour views, which can be enjoyed up close through the telescopes that inhabit every room.
Turning our attentions inwards, the hotel’s stylish, contemporary decor was handled by Singapore’s LTW Designworks and the luxury hotelier also worked with some of the hottest names in restaurant design, such as Japanese firms Wonderwall and Spin Design Studio, in creating the hotel’s six dining venues that include The Lounge & Bar, a decadent modern space with 2-storey tall fireplace chimneys, and the lavish Italian restaurant Tosca on the 116th floor. Other hotel amenities include an 860-square metre spa by ESPA, a glass-enclosed infinity pool with an LED screen ceiling and a fully fitted gym.
LOFT are pretty keen to visit the rooftop bar and restaurant Ozone on the 118th floor (therefore making it the world’s highest bar) which offers patrons the best seat in town for drinking in the views and lapping up the luxury in the highest hotel in the world.
Unsurprisingly, we hear the 360-degree views of the entire city are phenomenal.
