LOFT’s choices for cocktails at altitude.
Sevva, Hong Kong
The first place to take visitors you want to impress. People can’t fail to fall in love with Hong Kong, with bellini in hand, and views over the city’s sparkling skyline.
The Skybar @ Sirocco, Bangkok
It’s one of the highest bars in the world – and it’s open air. With views across Bangkok and the Chai Phraya River – this is definitely one for a special occasion.
Lantern bar, Singapore
LOFT is a huge fan of this new bar at the Fullerton Bay Hotel. The pool, with its amazing sunken loungers, grabs all the attention in this bar – but look beyond the pool and you’ll find amazing views over the new Marina Bay Sands and the rest of the harbour.
Luna bar, Malaysia
Another bar with a pool in the middle. Head there after 10 (after dining hours) and enjoy a cocktail or two from the Upper Deck.
Saigon Saigon bar
Th perfect place to watch the sun set in Ho Chi Minh. It’s part of the 5-star Caravelle Hotel so don’t show up looking scruffy.

Soho House, New York
Even the SATC girls got thrown out of this joint – so you probably won’t be able to sneak in here without a membership. Once you’re in, this place has the pool, the people and the party vibe you’d expect.
Yin, Beijing
One of just a handful of rooftop bars in the capital sitting atop a very popular design hotel.

360, Dubai
Hitch a golf buggy at the Jumeirah Hotel and it’ll speed you down the pier to this circular bar that feels as though it’s on its own private island. Chill out with a hookah pipe and enjoy the Dj beats.
Aer, Mumbai
Atop the Four Seasons on the 34th floor – this bar certainly has wow factor. A live DJ gives the place a high energy vibe.
Vista, London
Annoyingly this place is frequently booked out for corporate events so call before you go.
All great places, just Aer in Mumbai I’ve not been to. The Sky Bar in the Kuala Lumpur Traders is a great one too – nice open pool and great cocktails on the 33rd floor rooftop.
Any good skybars in Shanghai?
Yes! Try M1NT ( http://www.m1nt.com.cn) on the 24th floor of a downtown building – or Vue bar atop the Hyatt on the Bund (www.shanghai.bund.hyatt.com) which features day beds and a whirlpool on the terrace.
